Online Membership

How do I register for a Online Membership?

  • eResource licensing restrictions mean that Online Membership is only open to people who live in the Blue Mountains Local Government Area.
  • Read the Conditions of Membership statement at the bottom of this page*. By submitting an application you agree to accept and abide by our Conditions of Membership. Blue Mountains Library reserves the right to cancel any online membership that does not meet these conditions.
  • Fill in the online registration form.
  • Your online membership will give you immediate access to many of our eResources.
  • Online members may become full members by visiting a branch in person. Show staff your identification with proof of current address (e.g. Driver’s Licence or rates notice). You will be issued with a full membership card and have access to all of our resources. For details see our Membership page.

Conditions of Online Membership

  • Membership is limited to residents of the Blue Mountains Local Government Area.
  • Use of databases, eBooks, eAudio, and other electronic resources is governed by licence agreements between the publishers and the library, and members are required to comply with the terms and conditions of the licences. These can be obtained from the eResource provider.
  • eResources are not to be used for commercial purposes and are intended for personal use only. Standard copyright restrictions apply.

Please Note: Existing Library members should not join the Library again. If you have forgotten your PIN/password you can try resetting it using the "Forgot My PIN" link on the login pop up. If you have forgotten your library card number please phone the library.

Privacy Protection Notice

The personal information that Blue Mountains City Council ("Council") is collecting from you is personal information for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIPA).
 
Purpose of collection: This information is being collected to confirm eligibility for, and access to, Library Membership. Intended Recipients: Blue Mountains City Council employees.
 
Supply: The supply of information by you is voluntary. If you are unwilling to provide this information, Blue Mountains City Council may be unable to provide access to Blue Mountains Library Membership and will not be able to process your application.
