Modifying the details of a digital asset

The Edit Asset page allows you to edit the definition and metadata of a selected asset, or connect the asset to a different file or Internet resource.

If the asset you modify has any linked copies in the digital asset hierarchy, the changes you make to the asset are also made automatically to every linked copy of the asset.

The assets with information that you can modify will display depending on the permissions of your login and of the nodes. If your login does not have the required permissions to modify information for an asset, that asset will not display in the Directory tree.

To modify details of an asset

  1. Log in to the Admin console.
  2. Choose Assets from the navigation pane.

The Assets page displays. The digital asset hierarchy appears under Directory.

    • Use Search Assets by Name to find the assets (for more information, see Searching for assets).
  4. Choose the Edit () option for the asset.
  5. Modify the settings and metadata as needed. For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit Asset.
