Security Configuration

Portfolio is secured on two different levels to allow administration of your system by authorized personnel as well as access to patrons of your system. For administration, you can create accounts that give users rights to manage either the entire system or specific profiles within the system. For patrons, you can use the patron authentication provided by the ILS or you can connect to an LDAP server to authenticate patron logins.

	In addition to the administrative accounts, you can run Portfolio in HTTP secure mode. To do so, you must contact your SirsiDynix Customer Support representative.
