Suspending and resuming a task’s schedule
If a task has been scheduled to run at a specific time repeatedly or for a determined interval, it will continue on that schedule until the task is rescheduled or the schedule is suspended. A schedule that is suspended can be resumed to continue on the previously set schedule.

Only administrators with accounts that include the PRIV_TASK_MANAGE privilege can access, schedule, and launch tasks. |
To suspend and resume a task’s schedule
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Choose Scheduled Tasks from the navigation pane.
- Choose System Tasks or Search Source Tasks.
- Choose the Suspend Task option next to the task for which you want to stop the scheduled trigger.
- To resume running the schedule, choose the Resume Task option next to the task you want to run on the scheduled intervals.
