Technology & Internet Access
Internet and Email
- Internet access is available at all Library branches using public computers and Wi-Fi. Use of the internet is in accordance with Blue Mountains Library’s Internet Acceptable Use Guidelines.
- Access is free to library members. Membership cards must be presented.
- Limited access is available for non-members for a small fee.
- Computer bookings are limited to 90 minutes per day. Computer numbers may have been reduced in some branches to allow for social distancing.
- Advance bookings are recommended for computer use during busy periods. Unused bookings cancel 10 minutes after scheduled starting times.
- Persons under 15 must have Junior Internet Membership or be accompanied a parent or guardian to access the Internet.
Wi-Fi
- Free Wi-Fi is available at all branches during opening hours. The Wi-Fi service ceases 10 minutes before branch closure.
Word Processing
- Computers in all branches have Microsoft Word, Publisher & Excel and access to Google Docs and other online word processing applications. Bookings are advisable.
Printing
- Black and white and colour printing from public computers is available at all branches for a small fee per page.
- Printing over Wi-Fi is currently available at Katoomba, Springwood and Blaxland Libraries only
Photocopying
- Black and white and colour, coin operated photocopying machines are available for public use at all branches.
Scanning
- Scanning facilities are available at all branches.
