Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 – Holiday Service Changes

Blue Mountains Library branches and services will close from midday, Wednesday 24 December 2025*

*Blackheath and Wentworth Falls branches, that do not usually open on Wednesdays, will close at normal operating hours on Tuesday 23 December 2025

Returns Chutes Closures

Katoomba, Springwood, Lawson and Blaxland chutes close from midday 24 December 2025. Blackheath and Wentworth Falls chutes close at 7am on 24 December 2025.

Library branches, services and returns chutes will reopen at normal business hours on Saturday 3 January 2026

Our Digital Library will remain open 24/7!

Returns Chutes are open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week EXCEPT for the Easter long weekend and Christmas closure period.
