Technology & Internet Access

 

Internet and Email

    • Internet access is available at all Library branches (using public computers and Wi-Fi. Use of the internet is in accordance with Blue Mountains Library’s Internet Acceptable Use Guidelines.

 

    • Access is free to library members. Membership cards must be presented.

 

    • Limited access is available for non-members for a small fee.

 

    • During COVID restrictions access to public computers is limited to 30 minutes per day per customer. Please click here for details.

 

    • Advance bookings are recommended for computer use during busy periods. Unused bookings cancel 10 minutes after scheduled starting times.

 

 

Wi-Fi

    • Free Wi-Fi is available at all branches during opening hours. During COVID restrictions this is limited to 30 minutes per day per customer. Download limits apply. The Wi-Fi service ceases 10 minutes before branch closure.

 

  • Printing over Wi-Fi is currently available at Katoomba, Springwood and Blaxland Libraries only.

 

Word Processing

  • Computers in all branches have Microsoft Word, Publisher & Excel and access to Google Docs and other online word processing applications. Bookings are advisable.

 

Printing

  • Black and white and colour printing from public computers is available at all branches for a small fee per page.

 

Photocopying

  • Black and white and colour, coin operated photocopying machines are available for public use at all branches.

 

Scanning

  • Scanning facilities are available at all branches.
