“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

Art Classes With Naomi & Helen

Naomi

has worked as an exhibiting artist for over a decade, specialising in digital media, installation and a number of handicrafts. She has exhibited her artwork and collaborated with artists in both Australia and internationally, and was an artist-in-residence at Arteles Creative Centre in Hämeenkyrö, Finland in 2011. She has shown her work in the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Art Gallery of NSW, and this year has ambitious projects in Mosman Art Gallery and Parramatta Lanes Festival. Naomi works as a regular art tutor for children and has experience hosting art and new media classes for teens and adults.

Helen

is a Blue Mountains based artist and jeweller with a BFA from the National Art School and has work in public and private collections. Her teaching emphasises the importance of play and experimentation in art making. Through encouraging these things and unlocking or focusing creativity, Helen hopes to inspire and build confidence in her students. Art Classes for Kids will introduce students to the world of art through activities inspired by famous artists like Picasso, while learning a few artist's tricks along the way. Each week students will bring home wonderful pieces of artwork to be proud of and above all have fun!
